When Michael Covey lost his sister Rachel to the effects of depression, he and his family didn’t know how to cope. But when Rachel’s friends shared the profound way that horseback riding with her had impacted their lives, it inspired Michael and his family to create the nonprofit Bridle Up Hope. The organization’s mission is to inspire hope, confidence, and resilience in young women through equestrian training. “We change lives through horses,” Michael explains.
